The German Brand Awards prize-winners were honoured for the second time in a festive gala event in the German Historical Museum in Berlin on 29 June 2017. More than 500 guests from business, politics and media responded to the exclusive invitation.

The German Brand Awards were started by the German Design Council, which was itself initiated by the German Bundestag in 1953 and sponsored by the Federation of German Industry. For more than 60 years now, this foundation has strived to promote the competitiveness of German companies. The German Brand Institute, founded with the aim of encouraging activities in the area of brand leadership, has been tasked with managing this competition.
Brigitte Küchen was among the winners of the evening. This traditional company, based in North Rhine-Westphalia, was given a German Brand Award in Gold in the “Industry Excellence in Branding - Kitchen” category.

“The overall impact of Brigitte Küchen’s new appearance is one of very high quality and pleasant tidiness. If you observe the enormous leap this traditional brand has dared to make – from its old appearance right through to its new one – you will raise your hat to their courageous decision. Outdated customs and practices have truly been abandoned here and its appearance has been given a complete makeover. This is a step of great magnitude, from which many medium-sized, owner-managed companies still shy away. In a market as highly competitive as the kitchen industry, you need to clearly distinguish yourself with a contemporary image if you want to survive successfully. This has been achieved here in an exemplary manner”, was the conclusion of the judges.

The German Design Council and the German Brand Institute distinguish successful brands, consistent market leadership and sustainable brand communication with the German Brand Award.
